The North Peace Secondary School’s Outdoor Education class had an overnight stay at the Cameron Lake Outdoor Education Center. During their visit the students participated in a much anticipated Volunteer Trail Day! Working together, the students managed to reclaim a 900 meter section of trail that had been overgrown. The students cleared brush and downed trees which previously made the trail unusable for hiking or biking. The Outdoor class learned about career opportunities related to the environment and outdoor recreation while they gained hands on experience with hand tools, and insight into the creating of recreation trails.

Immediately after the work was completed the Hudson’s Hope Elementary students were able to hike the trail! Great work team!!
