SD60 has received word that along with the PRRD, the communities of Taylor and Hudson’s Hope will cover bussing costs for families for the 2014/2015 school year. As a result, the transportation fee for rural families will be put into abeyance for the 2014/2015 school year at this time. Crosstown usage in Fort St John will be looked at in the fall with regards to costs.
After the financial details have been worked out with the local governments, refunds will be made to any families that have already paid fees from rural areas.
It is still important to register your student for bussing so the Transportation Department can build routes in the summer.
