LearnNowBC.ca has featured us today because of our Online Calculus 12 course. This is an exciting opportunity and highlights collaborative partnerships between NPSS and NBCDES as well as between the School District and Northern Lights College.
Online Calculus 12 will be offered for the second semester of the 2008/09 year to any student who has completed or is taking PMA12 and is strong in math. Classes start Feb 3/09 and will be held Tue/Thu from 4:00-5:30 pm PST. Tutorials will be held on Mon/Wed from 4:00-5:30 pm PST. All classes/tutorials will be online using whiteboard software and supporting websites. Students will need access to a fax machine to submit work and a calculus textbook the student will have to purchase. Completion of this course will earn you grade 12 credit as well as a post secondary credit. Mary Meng has taught mathematics at both secondary and post secondary levels and is fluent in Mandarin and will be able to offer tutorial support in Mandarin if needed.
