    School Variances

    To clarify school admission policy in relation to variances, the following letter linked below has been shared to all schools.

    School Locator updated

    With the recent adoption on January 13, 2020 of the new catchment areas for elementary schools in Fort St John our School Locator tool has been updated.

    Catchment Scenario G Selected

    At the January 13th, 2020 special board meeting the Board of Trustees selected catchment Scenario G. The catchments will take effect for the 2020-2021 school year.

    Catchments – Scenario F & G Added

    A Public Board Meeting will be held Monday, January 13, 2020 at 2:30pm for the Board of Education to determine changes to the in-town catchment areas to accomodate the scheduled opening of Anne Roberts Young Elementary School in September of 2020.

    Catchment Area Scenarios – Written Comments accepted until December 19th, 2019.

    Changes to catchment areas are required to populate Anne Roberts Young Elementary School, scheduled to open September 2020, as well as create space at neighbouring schools.

    Catchment Areas – Scenario D Added

    Based on public feedback and in consultation with board trustees, we are considering a 4th scenario, which is a variation on scenarios A and C.  It takes into consideration the geography of the northwest quadrant near CM Finch as well as provides another option that keeps the English program at Central.
