Kendra Young and her coach/father/teacher Rob Young. Kendra, a student at Bert Bowes Junior Secondary, recently won the Northern Zone High School Girls Cross Country Championship and qualified for provincials. In addition to Kendra, a grade 10 student who outran all the other grade 11 and 12 girls at the event, two other SD 60 athletes, Kayne Dressler of Dr. Kearney and Brady Schubert of North Peace Secondary also qualified for provincials. In all 5 district school participated at zones where over 24 regional schools sent over 120 runners.
