– Key Learning Centre in SD60 Selected as Provincial Online School –

June 22nd, 2022 –

The online learning school (Key Learning Centre) of School District 60 Peace River North has recently been selected by the Ministry of Education & Childcare as one of 18 Provincial Online Learning Schools (POLS).

The Key Learning Centre has already been providing exceptional online and hybrid learning opportunities to students across the province for many years now and is pleased to be selected to continue to meet the diverse needs of our learners.

The Key Learning Centre remains open to registrations for our K-9 programs as well as for individual courses for our Grade 10 – 12 and adult students.

“Since 1984 when this School District became one of nine distance education centres the alternative programs offered to provide flexibility  in learning outside the typical school building have continued to expand. The Key Learning Centre supports rural and remote learners as well as those who need a different pathway to education.  The Centre provides programs for learners of all ages.  Becoming a provincial online school expands the reach of our excellent programs and allows us to continue to be a provincial leader in expanded educational opportunities.  “
– Helen Gilbert Board Chair
“Given the experience that our staff at the Key Learning Centre have, we are confident in our ability to continue to offer a number of online opportunities to students across the province.  Our attention to great content and responsive communication serves our students and families well.”

– Stephen Petrucci, Superintendent of Schools
