Community Christmas Projects by Senior Alternate Students

We’d like to share with you two letters about projects led by Senior Alternate students at NPSS that are making a difference for members of the community.

Hello, my name is Elia Wolter and for my social change project for Personal Social Development, I decided to make holiday cards for seniors in the Peace Villa Care home. I want to thank everyone that has taken their time out of their day to help make cards. This includes the students in the Sr. Alternate program, students during Choice, the art students in Mrs. Ans class, and Adele. The staff at Peace Villa were overjoyed and said there will be many happy tears this Christmas! Photos below: cards – staff in the rec department at Peace Villa along with Ciara, Alexandria, Elia, and Alyssa Stafford –  Alexandria Richards – Ciara Andy.

On behalf of the Sr. Alt program at North Peace Secondary school, we would like to thank everyone for all of their support for our Christmas fundraisers. We raised over 1000 dollars and all of our fundraised money and items donated in our donation boxes will be going to our family that we sponsored and they will also be going to the Women’s Resource Society, the Salvation Army and the SPCA as well. We really appreciate everyone’s support for our holiday fundraisers.

Thank you for your time reading this letter

-Sincerely, Sr Alternate
