Students help build garden boxes at Robert Ogilivie

Several of our Elementary Schools, Ecole Central, Duncan Cran, and Robert Ogilvie, are participating in a food security programme with the Northern Environmental Action Team. Students are learning about growing food, healthy living, pollinators, design and planning of gardens amongst many other topics. Food grown through the programme will be donated to the local food bank.

Volunteers from Urban Systems, TD Friends of the Environment, BMO, students, parents, staff, and community members are working together to build garden boxes which will be located school grounds.

Funding has been provided via Pembina (Robert Ogilvie and Duncan Cran), TD Friends (Ecole Central), CO-OP, and individual sponsors. Beds are available for sponsorship, contact NEAT for more information.

Thank you to everyone involved for their contribution in this valuable programme!
