Taylor Elementary is a K-6 school located twenty minutes form the bustling community of Fort St. John, which is located in the beautiful Peace River Valley. We enroll a population of 112 students 25 % of who are First Nations students. Our school has a staffing compliment of six teachers and five support workers as well a principal, a reading recovery teacher and part time librarian. Our school enjoys the itinerant services of a counselor and school psychologist. We also work closely with SET BC to meet the needs of some of our students.

Some themes that characterize our school are a commitment to child centered learning, a focus on collaborative planning, development of the entire child, and working closely with a supportive community. We have an active Parent Advisory Committee and School Planning Council. The goals of our learning community this year focus on language arts, math, technology and social responsibility. The Taylor Tigers have long and rich history which enhances our culture. The community of Taylor has been very supportive of the school and contributes to the education of its children in many ways.
