The Board will establish regulations regarding medical and associated Worksafe BC issues affecting Administrative Officers.
Where an Administrative Officer suffers from a disease or illness, or incurs personal injury (which disease, illness or injury is hereinafter called the “disability”), he/she is entitled to use his/her sick leave credits for time lost, during the first 120 days by reason of any such disability.
All monies payable to an Administrative Officer by Worksafe BC will be paid to the School Board. In return, the School Board will pay to the Administrative Officer his/her regular monthly salary for a period of up to one (1) year. After that period, the sick leave bank that he/she has accumulated will be reduced on a proportionate basis.
