Come out and join us for four virtual sessions with SET BC.  All sessions will be entirely in French and open to all FSL and French Immersion teachers,  Educational Assistants & Administrators.

Dates:  November 13, December 12, January 10 & February 5th

Hurray For Arrays!!!

Visual arrays help improve numeracy and mathematical understanding.  Building numeracy strength using mathematical arrays workshop is designed to share ideas, resources and teaching strategies to help students visualize mathematical arrays, and build strategies for multiplication facts, division strategies, prime numbers, multiples and factors, perimeter, area, ratios, fractions and much more!

7. SSEAC-Foundations of Inclusive Education-November 20, 22, 27, 29, 2018

Session Description:  This learning option will focus on the fundamental characteristics of inclusive eduction.  Participants will examine components of inclusive classrooms and general best practices to support the participation and membership of students with disabilities in the regular classroom.

6. SSEAC-EDAS 144 Portfolio-November 8, 13, 15, 2018

Session Description:  This learning option will explore specific technologies used in today’s classrooms to support student learning.  Participants will engage in hands-on opportunities to develop knowledge and skills on several programs and apps.

Participants will learn how this technology can support differentiation and meaningful inclusion in the classroom.

EDAS 144 Portfolio Module consisting of 9 hours, following Modules 11, 13, and 15.

MyEd Reporting Support – Nov 8, 2018

A voluntary support session is available for help with report cards in MyEdBC for New and Veteran Teachers, November 8, 2018 from 4-6pm at the Board Room in the School Board Office. If you are a new teacher/less experienced teacher who is in need to support with the report card process, then please feel free to join us. A few devices will be available for use. Pizza will be provided. RSVP is a must. The session will offer support of:
-Using My Ed BC
-Writing report cards
-Comment construction
-Using Assessment Information
-Report card expectations
