Looking at traffic for the last three weeks into and out of our Board Office (196.4Gb) and was trying to come up with a visual for this. An old stack of floppy disks came to mind. If 1 floppy disk could hold 1.44Mb and 1Gb = 1024 Mb, and a floppy disk is about 1/8th of an inch tall I calculated that the amount of data that flowed into and out of the board office in three weeks is equivalent to a pile of floppy disks 1454.8 feet tall or 443m tall. About 140 stories tall!
