In School District #60 our schools are always open. Safety is the paramount reason. We want to ensure that any student who arrives at the door is welcomed inside. Many students in our district ride school buses every day. Bus drivers will not operate their buses if they feel that it would be unsafe to do so. In most cases, bus cancellations will be decided on a route-by-route basis in consultation with the Transportation Supervisor. Each route, in our large district, has unique road conditions as well as unique weather.
Parents make the decision about whether their child will attend school during inclement weather.

One bus not running this morning is route 7 which services the mile 63.5 sub as well as the alaska hwy, and the golf course area.
