Join Cindy and Jarrod for a Resource Walk of books that support well being, belonging, SOGI, acceptance, kindness in K-middle.

Please bring a favourite resource to share. We’ll collect titles and share as well after the session.

14. SSEAC – Understanding Common Medical Issues

Session Description:  This learning option provides essential health information that EAs require while working in schools.  Participants will learn to apply their knowledge of common health issues, recognition and intervention techniques and personal injury prevention, back to the classroom.

13. SSEAC – Basic Sign Language (Signed Communication)

Session Description:  This learning option is designed for EAs working with hearing students who benefit from signed communication.  EAs will be introduced to signs for words typically useful in the school setting.

Visible Learning for Mathematics K-12 – SERIES

Rich tasks, collaborative work, number talks, problem-based learning, direct instruction…with so many possible approaches, how do we know which ones work the best? Bi-monthly we will work with John Hattie’s book to design high-impact instruction and try them out in our classrooms so all students demonstrate more than a year’s worth of mathematics learning for a year spent in school.

Dates: Tuesday, October. 3, 2017, Dec. 5, Feb. 6, April 3 and wind up on June 5.
