Prespatou Elementary – Secondary is a vibrant K-12 school located in a beautiful rural setting approximately one hour’s drive from Fort St. John, the energy capital of British Columbia. Presently, our enrollment stands at 277 with the bulk of students coming from solid Mennonite homes. Teachers deal with few discipline problems in their classrooms. Our school has a dedicated teaching staff of 14 teachers and 8 support workers as well as a principal and part time librarian. Some teachers choose to live on site in modern teacherages with satellite hookup, while others prefer the daily commute.

Some themes that characterize our school are a commitment to child centered learning, a focus on collaborative planning and strong ties to the community.
We have an active Parent Advisory Committee that sees the school as a community centre. With their support the school enjoys its own Zamboni! This year our school will focus on writing, numeracy, and social responsibility.

We feel our school is unique and offers a teaching experience that is peaceful rather than stressful.
