[UPDATED Sunday 4pm] NPSS Closed due to Flooding

Flooding in the NPSS main campus basement has necessitated cancellation of Friday, June 2, 2017 afternoon classes.

Students living in town have been sent home.

Bus students are able to safely stay in the school however power and water may be off. More to come.

[UPDATES]

12:15pm Friday – phones and internet are down to the building. City of Fort St John has shut off water and investigating. BC Hydro has dispatched staff to shut off power.

2:15pm Friday – power is off to the building. Vac trucks and pumps are being employed to begin clearing out water.

9:55pm Friday – Water has been pumped out of the basement. Work will continue through the evening and weekend to determine the location of the water line break and to repair it. Further updates will be provided at the very least on Sunday evening.

12:20pm Saturday – Excavation ongoing. Water remains off. Power, phones, internet, and network are now operational.

4pm Sunday – Staff continue to work on repairs. School will remain closed Monday, June 5. Last update on this post.
